Architect arrested in Gilgo Beach serial killings of women pleads not guilty

The man arrested for a series of murders on Long Island beaches that went unsolved for over a decade pleaded not guilty.

Rex Heuermann, 59, appeared before a judge at a Suffolk County courthouse on Friday afternoon. He pleaded not guilty to six counts of murder.

Heuermann, an architect based in Midtown, Manhattan, was arrested at his office last night.

He was charged for the deaths of three of the women found in Gilgo Beach between 2010 and 2011.

A total of 10 victims were found in the same area, including one adult male and one female toddler.
