Archie Harrison will ‘benefit’ from Meghan’s business as Duchess makes ‘savvy’ investments

Meghan Markle and Harry discuss Archie taking his first steps

Meghan Markle is showing “another element” to herself with her latest announcement that she has made a new business investment. The Duchess of Sussex is backing Clevr Blends, a women-owned start-up that makes instant oat milk lattes. HeirPod royal commentators Omid Scobie and Maggie Rulli discussed the investment and what it might mean for Meghan and Prince Harry’s son, Archie.

Mr Scobie told listeners: “People have questioned if Meghan will be the face of this product etc. etc.

“I’m under the understanding that this is something that is a business investment for her.

“So whilst her name is now attached to it, we’re not going to see her posting sponsored posts on an Instagram account.

“I think this shows another element to Meghan that perhaps we haven’t seen, which is the kind of savvy businesswoman.”

He continued: “She’s not only making smart investments that her family and children will benefit from in the future, but also helping raise awareness of small, female-led companies locally in the US.

“Certainly at the moment, we talk a lot about shopping independently, shopping locally, supporting local businesses and this is exactly that.

“Clevr Blends are now going to open up their delivery to international orders next year.

“They’ve had so many requests since the announcement of Meghan’s investment that they’re going to be expanding overseas.”

Ms Rulli added: “This is huge for a company that’s still new on the block.

“This is going to open up a lot of doors for Harry and Meghan’s investments going forward.

“I wonder if investments will become a huge part of their brand.”

In a statement to Fortune magazine, the Duchess said: “This investment is in support of a passionate female entrepreneur who prioritizes building community alongside her business.

The ‘SuperLatte’ is priced at $28 a bag, and consists of 14 servings.

Oprah Winfrey has already promoted the product as well after being sent a basket from Meghan herself.

Posting a video to Instagram, she wrote in the caption: “On the first day of Christmas my neighbour “M” sent to me…a basket of deliciousness! (Yes that M). My new drink of choice for the morning and night.

“Wish I had Clevrblends sooner cause I would’ve added it to my Favourite Things list. #HappyHolidays”
