Archie christening: Meghan’s dad Thomas Markle reveals snub anguish – what did he say?
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry released two official christening photos to mark the baptism of their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. In a touching group shot, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex posed on a regal green chair surrounded by close relatives. The only family members on Meghan’s side was her mother Doria Ragland. If royal watchers had been hoping for a reunion picture between Meghan and her estranged Thomas Markle they were disappointed.
The former lighting director, 74, confirmed he did not get an invite to the private christening inside Windsor Castle.
What did Thomas Markle say?
Thomas told The Mail on Sunday: “I have been asked if I would have liked to have gone to Britain to see my new grandson being christened.
“I was an altar boy at age 12, a confirmed member of the Queen’s church at age 14, and Archie is my new grandson, so of course I would have enjoyed being there for the blessing, wishing Archie and his parents health and happiness.”

Meghan was said not to have been christened as a child as mum Doria followed the teachings of Indian yoga guru Paramahansa Yogananda.
