Prince Harry’s two children were not given official royal titles at birth but instead have been entitled to be known as Master Archie and Lady Lilibet. As grandchildren to the sovereign, three-year-old Archie and one-year-old Lilibet could now inherit new royal titles. However, according to the Mail on Sunday’s Editor-at-Large Charlotte Griffiths, the newly-appointed King Charles’ decision on the two children’s titles is pending until the release of Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir.
Speaking to Palace Confidential’s host Jo Elvin about Prince Harry’s memoir, Ms Griffiths said: “Reportedly, [Harry’s] children’s titles are dependent on this.
“Reportedly, Charles is waiting until the book comes out before he decides whether he gives Archie and Lilibet a title.”
The titles that the two little ones would acquire would be “Prince and Princess”.
She added that there is “a lot riding on” the memoir.
Meghan and Prince Harry, although no longer working royals, are still the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The pair, then only parents to Archie, decided to step down as senior royals in 2020.
Lilibet was born in the US, a year after their royal exit, in June 2021.
Archie and Lilibet are still listed on the Royal Family’s official website as Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Miss Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor.

The two are placed sixth and seventh in line to the throne, under Prince William, his three children, and their father, Prince Harry.
Prince Harry’s book was announced last July and was originally set for a 2022 release.
However, earlier this year, the publisher, Penguin Random House, released a list of upcoming releases and Harry’s book failed to make the list.
This led to speculation as to whether it would be released this year or not.

Although no official details regarding contents or release date have been made public, Prince Harry’s book is set to be highly controversial.
However, according to a report from The Sun, Harry is “panicking” about the memoir and is trying to get some last-minute changes made before it hits shelves.
Harry is reportedly worried that some parts of the book could be “insensitive”, particularly in the wake of the Queen’s death.
