The group was trying to stop people getting the Covid vaccine at a pop-up vaccination centre in, Kingsbridge, Devon, which has been offering first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine to anyone over 18. They were handing out flyers to people that were called: “The Spike Protein is the reason why the vaccines might kill you.”

Witness Chloe Parkman was waiting in the queue when she was approached by one of the demonstrators. 

She said: “We were stood waiting in the queue and saw the two making their way along and approaching people in the line.

“They came up to us and tried to hand us a leaflet, we declined, but we overheard the male saying to one guy, ‘You’re young you don’t need the vaccine, take a look at this’.

The NHS said the vaccine is safe,

The website said: “Covid vaccines have to go through several stages of clinical trials before they can be approved for use.

“Clinical trials are where a vaccine or medicine is tested on volunteers to make sure it works and is safe.

“The approved Covid-19 vaccines have been tested on thousands of people in the UK and around the world, including: people from different ethnic backgrounds, people aged between 18 and 84, people with different health conditions.

“All vaccines used in the UK must be approved by the independent Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

“The MHRA makes sure the vaccines meet strict international standards for safety, quality and effectiveness.

“Once a vaccine is approved, it’s closely monitored to continue to make sure it is safe and effective.”
