The Change UK MP admitted on BBC Question Time that she fears the idea of Mr Johnson much more than the current Prime Minister.

With Mrs May under increasing pressure, Ms Soubry insisted the country is in a “political crisis”.

The former Conservative MP also argued Parliament is at complete fault for the predicament the UK currently finds itself in.

Speaking on BBC Question Time, Ms Soubry said: “We’re in a real political crisis.

“We’re in a crisis as Parliament can’t decide on a way to go forward.

“What worries is that if Theresa May were to leave, who would replace her?

“I fear Boris Johnson far more than I fear Theresa May.”
