The former Conservative MP proposed the concept during an interview with talkRADIO’s Dan Wootton. Ms Widdecombe also stated that she finds wearing a face mask impossible.
The former Conservative MP said: “I just think that if you had a time, it might not even be everyday, but several times a week when people who find masks unbearable or are medical exempt from wearing them can go into shops and supermarkets it might mean that those people do not do what I am doing at the moment which is abandoning the high street and ordering online.”
Mr Wootton asked: “You don’t want to shop do you because you hate going out in a mask?”
Ms Widdecombe replied: “Yes I find the masks impossible, I can manage with a visa but I find the masks absolutely impossible.
“That is not the end of the world, I can shop from home on the internet.
