‘Absolutely staggering’ Brexiteer LOSES it at Corbyn trying to get ‘muggy hands on power’

TalkRadio broadcaster James Max joined Jeremy Vine’s Channel 5 show panel to debate if MPs should back Boris Johnson’s deal. Mr Max lost it when Labour MP Rupa Huq tried to defend her party’s decision to vote against the Prime Minister’s withdrawal agreement on Saturday. He described the move as “absolutely staggering”.

The radio presenter said: “You talk about Boris Johnson in terms of arrogance.

“The arrogance of those who are voting against this deal because they simply don’t want Brexit to happen is appalling.

“This is why the public are so fed up with politicians.

“You didn’t listen to what they said in 2016 when they said they wanted to leave.”

He continued: “In addition to that, that Jeremy Corbyn can come and say ‘this deal is terrible’ at 10.41am when the text is released until 11am is a terrible, terrible thing.

“He hasn’t even read it, and he’s already saying ‘no it’s terrible’.

“You have people who are in any which way trying to get their muggy little hands on power and to get in the way of what the people voted for.

“I recognise that you have a situation where oil and water are being mixed.”

Mr Max added: “A Parliamentary democracy, of course, you have the mother of all parliaments, but we mixed it.

“To turn against the people this way is really dangerous.

“And politicians need to think very carefully.”

The host pointed out that Dr Huq’s constituency, Ealing Central and Acton, voted to stay in the EU in 2016.

Mr Max said: “If you are in a Remain seat, then I totally understand why you would want to represent your constituents.

“But the leadership from the Opposition has been so disappointing.”

Mr Johnson agreed a new Brexit deal with the EU at a summit yesterday.

MPs will debate and vote on the deal in a special Saturday sitting of Parliament.
