Donald Trump fan erects electric fence to stop people stealing his election bill

A Donald Trump superfan has put up an electric fence around his yard after neighbors kept taking down signs that supported the president.

Navy veteran John Oliviera said that this high-voltage fence is a deterrent to protect the political signs on his New Bedford, Massachusetts property.

‘It will certainly send a message,’ Oliviera said. ‘I believe in the president and obviously people didn’t like that.’

He said that the signs have stood their ground for two weeks since he put the new fence up.

‘Don’t mess with my right to free speech,’ he said. ‘That’s what our country is about, different opinions and being able to voice those opinions in a fair and equitable manner,’

Oliviera also said he had a sign on his lawn which encouraged people to vote, but that was never touched.

The legality of electric fencing in Massachusetts depends on specific residential areas, but if a person or a pet is hurt by the fence, it could lead to a lawsuit.

Oliviera is no stranger to controversy in the neighborhood. He was ousted from his role as school committee member by the mayor for allegedly engaging ‘profanity-laced outbursts’ at meetings.
