Nick Ferrari launches FURIOUS Brexit rant on ‘disgraceful’ EU elections – ‘Bloody FARCE’

Nick Ferrari lashed out at the European elections, labelling them a “disgrace” and “bloody farce”. The Brexiteer radio host claimed the EU elections cost the UK £100million, arguing the money should have been used to combat other issues. Mr Ferrari told BBC’s Politics Live: “To me it is a disgrace, pardon my language, almost to a bloody farce that we are even having hose elections. £100million these elections cost. You quite rightly point to austerity, think what the money could do for some of our schools, our law and order, our nurses or whatever you like.

“These elections should never have taken place, it’s a scandal that they are, I completely agree we do not need these fringe parties.”

Signalling to Green Party co-Leader Sian Berry, Mr Ferrari continued: “But to Sir Vince Cable’s point, surely Sian, you have fractured the vote.

“The idea must have been for the Greens, Change UK and the Lib Dems all to come together because then you would have had a stronger voice, wouldn’t you?”

Sophie Jarvis from the lobbying group ‘Adam Smith Institute’ then added: “I think what is very clear in this is if you like him or not or if you voted Brexit or not, you cannot deny that the Brexit Party are just completely leading this.

“They are slick, they also have this nice little touch of still being quite grassroots as well and they candidates are I think very good. They are very clear speaking, they seem like good people.

“I think if you contrast it to the nasty creatures in UKIP, that Carl Benjamin chap who has been saying all this disgusting stuff, the Brexit Party are just going from strength to strength.

“UKIP I think are just imploding, Change UK they just seem like a confused party quite frankly.”

A new Brexit date has been set for October 31 and the UK will have to take part in the vote unless MPs agree on a deal before the day of the elections.

Nigel Farage launched another slate of Brexit Party candidates on Tuesday, including Claire Fox, a former member of the Revolutionary Communist Party.

The Remainer party, formerly known as the Independent Group, launched their election campaign in Bristol on Tuesday where they are fighting to “stop Brexit”.

The elections will be held between May 23 and 26 where a total of 751 MEPs will be chosen to represent the EU’s members states.

However, if Britain leaves the bloc before the elections start they will not need to take part – and the seats will be reduced to 705.
