A man canvassing for the Conservative Party was abused on the street by someone who told him to "go to a white f**king country".

Has Ahmed posted footage of himself being abused while out campaigning for the Tories today.

The footage Mr Ahemd, who is wearing a blue rosette, being shouted at while walking down the street.

In the short clip, an older man can be seen aggressively yelling at while Mr Ahmed films him over his shoulder and walks away.

"You're a f**king fascist," he shouts.

"You're f**king sick in the head if you're voting Conservative, you're a bloody idiot!

"Go somewhere else, go to a white f**king country."

Mr Ahmed kept incredibly calm throughout the encounter, responding with only a polite "thank you" to the man hurling abuse at him.

The video has since sparked a huge reaction on Twitter, where it has been shared thousands of times.

While a few people suggested Mr Ahmed "should have decked" the man antagonising him, others praised his "impressive composure" during the encounter.

"Nice bloke – well done you," one Twitter user said, while another remarked: "You dealt with that brilliantly, thank them and move on."

"Well done for keeping calm my friend, better man than me," read another complimentary tweet.

"Brilliantly handled," one man wrote. "Sorry you had to experience that. Keep up the good work."
