A young woman who was left with just one breast after a botched boob job has warned others to think twice before having cosmetic surgery.

The 27-year-old woman identified only as Ekaterina V wanted a breast enlargement and paid a clinic £2,140 (171,000 RUB) for the operation.

Ekaterina from Volgograd in southwest Russia claims a surgeon accidentally sliced the implant when inserting it inside her – and as a result it leaked and caused her body to reject it.

She was in constant pain and needed to have a drip inserted to drain fluid from her body, according to reports.

This reportedly became infected as well, leaving a scar on her breast before the implant was removed surgically a year later.

Ekaterina said she had no idea of the risk she was taking when she entered the operating theatre at the clinic three years ago.

She says she has since spent a considerable amount of money trying to solve the problem including visiting a second clinic to try and undo the damage allegedly caused by the first.

Ekaterina also underwent hormone therapy, injected directly into her breast.

But she claimed it "burned away muscles and fat in my chest, leaving an indent where it had vanished."

She added: "It was scary and painful and worse, it did nothing to help either."

After enduring the pain for a year, Ekaterina said she sought assistance from another clinic when the pain became unbearable.

She says it was just over a year ago that the implant was removed and it was reportedly discovered it had been cut during surgery and the leaking implant had caused her health problems.

Ekaterina said: "Now I am left without a breast, and because of the many operations and injections with hormones, I have scars instead of a breast."
