Woman killed as Range Rover flies off bridge onto train tracks in horror crash

A woman has been killed after a Range Rover was pushed from a bridge onto the tracks of a London railway during a horror crash with a Tesla.

Horrifying images from the scene show the Range Rover crushed and mangled on the tracks below a bridge, while the Tesla can be seen smashed into a wall in a nearby showroom.

The A40 is currently closed in west London and the Piccadilly Line in the area has been suspended after a crash on the tracks near Park Royal station.

Police were called to the scene of the collision on the A40 westbound near Park Royal Underground Station at 3:48am this morning.

Two cars, a Range Rover and Tesla, were involved in a collision that left the Range Rover crushed on the railway line.

Despite the best efforts of responding emergency services, a woman who had been travelling in the Range Rover at the time of the incident died at the scene.

Another woman, who is believed to have been in the stationary Tesla, has been treated for her injuries, which were assessed as non life-threatening.

The woman travelling in the Range Rover died at the scene, while another woman and man present in the Range Rover were treated at the scene also.

After receiving treatment from paramedics at the scene of the crash, the man and the other woman were transported to hospital.

The Tesla was believed to be stationary and charging at the time of the collision.

The crash between the Range Rover and Tesla is said to have caused the former vehicle to fall from the bridge and onto the tracks below.

It is believed that the A40 and the Piccadilly Line in the area will remain closed for a considerable period of time, with immense damage to the two cars involved in the crash.

The collision between the Range Rover and Tesla is said to have taken place on a bridge above the tracks, The Sun reported.

A Scotland Yard spokesperson, speaking to The Telegraph, said: "The A40 is closed in west London and the Piccadilly Line has been suspended in the area following a fatal collision.

"Police were called to a collision on the A40 westbound near Park Royal Underground Station at 03.48am.

"Officers attended along with ambulance colleagues. It was reported that two cars, a Range Rover and a Tesla, had been involved in a collision and the Range Rover had left the road and gone onto the railway line.

"Despite the efforts of emergency services, a female occupant of the Range Rover died at the scene."
