Woman, 33, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender after chef, 29, killed in ‘targeted’ hit and run – The Sun
A 33-YEAR-OLD woman has today been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender after a chef was killed in "targeted" hit and run.
Kerrin Repman was killed when a BMW hit his motorbike in Dovercourt last month.
And Essex Police today confirmed the woman had been arrested as they continue the murder probe.
She remains in custody.
Detectives are still searching for 40-year-old Keith McCarthy who they also want to speak to in connection with the incident.
He is described as being 5ft 5ins tall and is believed to have links to Harwich, Hertfordshire, London and Ireland.
Kerrin was killed on Marine Parade on April 15 when the crash unfolded – with police later launching a murder investigation into the "targeted" attack.
A woman in her 70s, a pedestrian, was also hurt in the crash.
And the young man's family paid tribute to the "loveable" chef.
In a statement, his family said: "We loved him unconditionally and he worked hard to be a good person and, above all, a good dad to his three beautiful children: Romeo, Reggie, and Reenie."
They said he was a "talented chef", adding: "Kerrin had his problems and went through a lot of physical and emotional pain in his life, but it never stopped him from having a smile on his face.
"He always brought a smile to ours, too.
"All in all, he was our loveable son and we are all heartbroken."
A 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder was released on bail until Tuesday 19 May, a 54-year-old man and a 46-year-old man were both released under investigation.
