Wimbledon 2019 weather forecast today: Met Office predicts a dry but cloudy day 11 for the tennis

THE 2019 Wimbledon Championships are moving closer to the grand finale this weekend, and the weather looks like it will be a dry day for everyone.

But will tennis fans be able to eat strawberries and cream on Henman Hill in glorious sunshine or will a brolly be needed? Here's the latest…

What's the latest Wimbledon weather forecast?

The current weather forecast by the Met Office predicts a pleasant day although it seems it will be cloudy for most of the time, with sunny spells in the afternoon.

Temperatures for today, July 11, will bring a high of 25C to SW19 at around 5pm.

For most of the day there is just a ten per cent chance of rain.

Hayfever sufferers though need to take care as the pollen count is high once again.

A lot can change weather-wise as we head towards the final weekend of the tournament, so make sure you keep checking back on Sun Online for the latest weather updates.

When did Wimbledon 2019 start?

This year's tournament will be held at the All England Club in SW19.

First round matches got underway on Monday, July 1.

After a fortnight of competition, it all ends with the men's final being held on Sunday, July 14.

How can I get tickets?

The ballot for tickets for Wimbledon 2019 has now closed.

But even if you've missed out, that doesn't mean that you can't take part in the action.

Wimbledon remains one of the only major sporting events in the UK that still sells tickets on the day of play.

All you have to do is get down to the All England Club and, in true British style, get in the queue.

A limited number of tickets are available daily for Centre Court, No1 Court and No2 Court – except for the last four days on Centre Court, when all are sold in advance.

Each day there are also several thousand ground passes available.

These allow the user unlimited access to the outside courts and cost just £25 throughout the opening week of the tournament.
