Who was Bobbi-Anne McLeod?

BOBBI-ANNE McLeod was a teenager who was murdered after disappearing from a bus stop near her home.

Musician Cody Ackland, 24, admitted murdering the 18-year-old.

Her body was discovered three days after her abduction, in a wooded area.

Who was Bobbi-Anne McLeod?

McCleod was last seen leaving her home in Plymouth, Devon at around 6pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021.

She was due to meet friends in the city center, but after she failed to arrive, family friends and police launched a search.

A body was discovered three days later in woodland in Bovisand, Devon.

It was formally identified as that of McCleod on 30 November.

Where did Bobbi-Anne McLeod go missing?

It’s believed that on the day she went missing, Mcleod walked towards an underpass on Grimspound Close towards the bus stop on Bampton Road and was last seen at bus stop near her home.

Her failure to meet friends as planned sparked a search for the missing teen, and officers were seen at the entrance to the underpass where she had made her way to the bus stop.

At the time, her brother Lee McLeod issued a desperate plea for information regarding his sister's disappearance.

He said on social media: "Police have rung and someone has handed in Bobbi's mobile.

"I’m begging everyone single person in Plymouth help me search everywhere search everything.

"Someone has my f***ing sister.

"My sister's phone has been tracked by police, however due to the phone being off, they’ve managed to know she’s still in the Plymouth area but don’t know her actual location.

"Please, please people – you hear anything, see anything, tell me.

A candlelit vigil was held for McCleod at the bus stop where she is thought to have been abducted from.

Her mother, Donna, was visibly distressed during the event, but thanked those in attendance for the love and support shown toward her family.

What was her cause of death?

Her murderer Cody Ackland appeared in court only to confirm his name and date of birth and plead guilty to the crime.

It’s not yet known exactly how she was killed, and no cause of death was given for the teenager at an open inquest last year.
