Jen Psaki, 43, made the jump to MSNBC and will begin her role in the fall of 2022.

MSNBC President Rashida Jones announced on May 24 that Psaki will also be hosting her own show starting early 2023.

Jones said in a statement that Psaki was an asset to MSNBC for her “extensive experience in government and on the campaign trail and perspective as a White House and Washington insider."

The network said in a statement that Psaki's new show will "bring together her unique perspective from behind the podium and her deep experience in the highest levels of government and presidential politics."

Psaki expressed her eagerness to work with the outlet and bring her unique skill set to the team.

“Fact-based and thoughtful conversations about the big questions on the minds of people across the country have never been more important, and I’m thrilled to join the incredible MSNBC team,” Psaki said in a statement.

Psaki held her final White House press briefing on May 13, 2022, to conclude her role as White House press secretary.

She was replaced by Karine Jean-Pierre, who has been serving as Psaki's deputy since the start of the Biden administration.

How long did Jen Psaki work in the White House?

Connecticut native Psaki graduated from the College of William & Mary with a degree in English and sociology in 2000.

She began her career in the early 2000s, working on the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor in 2001.

In 2004, Psaki became deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign, before serving as communications director to Congressman Joseph Crowley the following year.

She also acted as press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee until 2006.
