A WETHERSPOONS customer claimed pub staff scrawled "you are a c**t" inside her napkin after she ordered breakfast.

Liv Hope, 23, says the message wrapped in her cutlery could have been revenge because she ordered just as the kitchen was about to stop serving breakfast on Sunday morning.

The pub chain has apologised to the shocked customer and launched an investigation after being contacted by The Sun Online.

Liv, a sex shop worker, says when she complained to a manager at The Bell Hotel Wetherspoons in Norwich, he rolled his eyes and huffed: "Oh shall I get you another napkin?"

She said: "We ordered on the app and when my meal came they put the cutlery on the table. I opened up my napkin and written on it was “you are c**t.

"We’d ordered, three very different breakfasts. So I think it was definitely a staff member who was p****d off."

Liv along with boyfriend Nathan and pal Zoe ordered American style pancakes, a Full English and Eggs Benedict with hash browns through the app 19 minutes before breakfast finished on Sunday morning.

Liv added: “I’ve worked in the service industry and I know what’s it like when you’re closing down a kitchen and you got 10 minutes to go and a big order comes through

“It’s really f**king annoying but as a paying customer I was quite shocked.”

In total the trio paid £16.85 for their meals and Liv said " I was very very shocked and really quite surprised.

“It was hand delivered by a staff member and staff are the ones who wrap them.”

Liv said she contacted Wetherspoons but she hasn’t heard back from them.

Wetherspoons spokesman Eddie Gershon said: "The manager at the pub is investigating how this happened and is treating the matter seriously.

"We apologise to the customer concerned.

"We expect the highest standards from our staff at all times, and we will not tolerate such behaviour."
