Vladimir Putin shows off his suspiciously pro footie skills in game of keepy-uppy with Fifa president ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup

RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin has shown off his football skills in a promotional video by FIFA to mark 100 days until the World Cup.

The short film features a number of high-profile faces doing keepy-uppies with Putin's suspiciously professional talents taking centre stage

Putin appears at the end of the video with FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

The pair are seen dressed in smart suits knocking the ball back and forth in a luxurious room.

The 100th touch on the ball is a sharp header by Putin.

But there's more than a hint of suspicion that the clip has been cleverly edited to make Infantino and Putin appear more skilled than we'd expect, as the ball appears in their control at all times, never touching the ground.

The video commences with the words “Some people cannot wait for the greatest show on Earth”, in a reference to the World Cup being hosted by Russia.

The 100-touch countdown is kicked off by Wayne Rooney, before moving on to Brazilian striker Ronaldo.

They are followed by a number of international stars including Spain's Carlos Puyol and Nigeria and Bolton's Jay Jay Okocha.

Argentina legend Diego Maradona appears at number 20, balancing the ball on his foot while holding on to a kitchen counter.

He is followed by Australia's Harry Kewell and Saudi Arabia's most capped outfield player Sami Al Jaber.

Swedish footballer and Leeds flop Tomas Brolin is an unexpected face among the legends of the sport, appearing next in the video.

The video is not short of throwbacks, as Carlos Valderrama shows up with his trademark blonde afro.

Paolo Wanchope, Peter Schmeichel and France's David Trezeguet are the last to feature in the keepy-uppie challenge video, before the cameras come to settle on Putin and Infantino.

Between the group of footballers, and the two presidents, the goal of 100 keep-uppies is achieved.

The video signs off with: “Russia 2018. 100 days to go.”

The World Cup tournament kicks off on June 14, with the final on July 15.

Matches will be hosted in 12 arenas across 11 Russian cities.
