Vince McMahon spotted with Undertaker as WWE icon linked to Crown Jewel return

Vince McMahon has been pictured with The Undertaker as the WWE legend is linked to a return in Saudi Arabia.

McMahon has currently not booked Taker for the upcoming show Crown Jewel on October 31.

The Deadman had been a regular feature of WWE events in the Middle Eastern kingdom.

Saudi Arabia’s WWE shows normally packed with big bouts and nostalgia trips – with Undertaker fighting Goldberg at an event in June.

Taker has now been pictured with McMahon in Saudi Arabia ahead of the show.

The snap shows Taker and the WWE boss in Riyadh alongside a fan.

Undertaker appearing to be promoting the show in Saudi Arabia will fuel speculation over his involvement with Crown Jewel.

Just days ago he wasn’t reported to have been told WWE didn’t need him for the show.

It would be the first time he hasn’t appeared at one of WWE’s events in Saudi Arabia.

The show is currently set for a bumper double main event, with boxer Tyson Fury taking on Braun Strowman, and old UFC rivals Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez doing battle for the WWE Championship.

Taker appeared at the first show in the partnership between WWE and Saudi Arabia, The Greatest Royal Rumble.

He defeated WWE star in a casket match at the show.

The legend then went on to headline the first Crown Jewel event with his on-screen brother Kane against Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

His bout in June was panned after it became derailed when Goldberg smashed his head into the ring post – leaving him with a concussion.

Saudi Arabia have paid a large undisclosed sum which is part of a 10-year partnership between the Gulf state and the WWE – with reports of between $100 million and $200 million per show.

Riyadh has been working to regenerate its image, with the ambitious campaign Saudi Vision 2030.

Spearheaded by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, the plan is aimed at transforming the country into an economic hub and break its reliance on oil.

Fury is reportedly earning almost £12 million for his fight with Strowman.

Undertaker is one of the biggest icons in wresting – having grappled with the WWE since 1990.

He is a seven-time world champion, a six-time tag team champion, and held an undefeated streak of 21-0 at WrestleMania.

The legend still wrestles sporadically, with his appearance in WWE so far being on the September 10 edition of SmackDown.

He delivered a choke slam to Sami Zayn during the special edition from Madison Square Garden.

Undertaker made his official WWE debut 29 years ago at Survivor Series, performing as an unearthly, undead mortician.

He character would evolve over the years – become a cult leader, a “badass” biker and then a character akin the final boss of WWE.

His famous WrestleMania streak was broken by Brock Lesnar in 2014 after claiming victories of stars like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, CM Punk, Batista and Edge.

Roman Reigns defeated Undertaker again at WrestleMania in 2017 in a match that many fans and news outlets assumed was his retirement.
