Vile moment woman mobbed by 100s of men before clothes ‘ripped off’ in attack

Horrifying footage has shown hundreds of men surrounding a woman before they allegedly assaulted her with so much force her clothes were “ripped off”.

The unnamed woman, who has a large following on TikTok, was visiting Pakistan’s national monument of Minar-e-Pakistan when the abhorrent incident occurred.

According to a complaint she filed to police, she had visited the monument with six of her friends to film a video on Independence Day.

But a massive mob quickly surrounded them and allegedly started attacking them.

A video going viral online shows the huge crowd surrounding the woman on the road.

She is pushed near to the enclosure wall before a group of men pick her up and bring her into the middle of the crowd.

In her complaint with Lorry Adda police station, the woman said she repeatedly tried to escape but couldn’t.

“The crowd was huge and people were scaling the enclosure and coming towards us,” she wrote in her complaint, quoted by Pakistani media outlet Dawn News.

“People were pushing and pulling me to the extent that they tore my clothes.

“Several people tried to help me but the crowd was too huge and they kept throwing me in the air.”

She also alleged her friends were attacked and claimed her ring and earrings were “forcibly taken”.

The footage has sparked a wave of outrage after it went viral online, with politicians across the Pakistani political spectrum condemning the incident.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, an assembly member and chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, said the attack “should shame every Pakistani”.

“It speaks to a rot in our society,” he added. “Those responsible must be brought to justice. The women of Pakistan feel insecure and it is all our responsibility to ensure safety and equal rights to all.”

Sania Ashiq, a member of provincial assembly of Punjab state where the incident occurred, said that it was “time to refuse to let this happen or stay silent when it does”.

The Lahore police have registered a case against unidentified persons for assaulting and stealing. Lahore DIG Operations Sajid Kiyani was quoted by Pakistani media saying those who “violated women’s honour and harassed them will be brought within the ambit of the law”.
