Video footage of severed cat’s head sent to pet’s owner by teenager
A man has been arrested in connection with sick footage of a mutilated cat that was sent to a pet owner by a teenager.
Caroline Prater's pet cat Morris was missing for two days when she was sent a grisly video of the missing pet with its head cut off.
The ginger tabby cat went missing last Friday and police are now investigating the attack, which Caroline suspects may be part of a gang killing after she uncovered similar reports.
Cops arrested a man in his 20s in relation to the incident who has been released under investigation.
Caroline said: “Morris didn’t come home and he wasn’t on the doorstep on Saturday morning like he normally would be if he stayed out all night.
“When it came to Sunday and he still was nowhere to be seen, we got worried and that’s when we started the missing appeal.”
In a bid to find the beloved pet the family printed out posters and put them up near her home in Bristol.
The care worker said she was bombarded with messages from people suggesting sightings of the fury mammal but sadly Morris didn't show up.
As the days went by Caroline received a message from a teenage girl that lived nearby who said she had seen a video and pictures of a cat that appeared to be Morris.

Caroline said: “She asked me if I wanted to see it, even though it was gruesome, and I said yes of course I did because I needed to know what had happened to Morris.
“The video was absolutely horrible.
“The camera scans up and down Morris’s body showing injuries and then his head is almost completely off, it’s been cut off just so it’s attached by a thread – it’s disgusting.”
After the pet owner watched the video, Caroline managed to figure out where the slaying took place and went out to look for Morris's little body.
Sadly all Caroline found was cat fur and the mystery surrounding the brutal decapitation continues.
Police are still conducting enquiries into the incident but the 49-year-old has a theory of her own – she believes Morris may have been killed as part of a gang initiation.
She said: “There are so many questions we have. “Firstly, where is Morris now?
"It seems his body has been moved, so someone would know where it is or where it has been dumped.
“Then also, we don’t understand what happened to him between the time he went missing on Friday evening and when the video was filmed on the Sunday.
“Did someone capture him and keep him captive, so they could torture him? It doesn’t bear thinking about.
“We’ve been told this could be some kind of gang initiation, like a test someone who wants to join has to do.
“We don’t understand this vile behaviour. It’s horrendous, absolutely horrendous. I’m angry that people would do this.
“They have scraped all the fur off his back and then cut his head off and then they have moved or hidden him.
“I can’t get the body back – I don’t know where it is.
“That little footpath is well used, it’s used by families taking their children to school and then they have moved or hidden him.

“It’s sickening.”
