US Treasury sanctioned 24 Russian entities and individuals including two Russian intelligence agents for interfering in the 2016 Presidential vote.

Russia is promising to retaliate after the US announced new sanctions over Moscow’s alleged meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

The Trump administration is threatening to keep tough policies in place until Moscow changes its behaviour.

But both Democratic and Republican politicians say President Trump needs to do more.
