Air Force Command spokesman Yuriy Ihnat said Ukraine is constantly monitoring troop and ammunition movements in neighbouring Belarus over fears of an attack. He warned the threat from Belarus has “not disappeared” amid reports Russian forces are massing missile launchers, particularly Iskander-type ballistic missiles, in the landlocked country.
Ihnat said Ukraine must be prepared for all circumstances and not “neglect” any signals.
He also pinpointed a day when Ukraine should be prepared for possible attacks.
He said: “We have Independence Day soon.
“The enemy uses such dates for ‘greetings’, so we should be ready for it, not neglect any signals.
“The threat has not disappeared.”
Ihnat added:”We constantly observe the movement of Russian troops in the territory of Belarus, as well as the transportation of ammunition, Iskander and other types of missiles.
“This happens all the time. If an Il-76 flies from the Russian Federation to the territory of Belarus, then it is clear that it delivers weapons.”
Ihnat said intelligence data suggested Russian forces were amassing in Belarusian territory.
He added: “This also has a political component: to threaten the West, threaten Ukraine.
“There has always been a certain threat from the territory of Belarus, and let me remind you that it was its territory that Russia used from the first days of the full-scale invasion and launched strikes from there with various weapons: airplanes, Iskander and Tochka-U missiles.

“Therefore, we must definitely be prepared for possible missile strikes.”
President Alexander Lukashenko, is considered to be one of Vladimir Putin’s most reliable allies.
Belarus allowed Russia to use its territory to launch a major prong of its February 24 invasion of Ukraine and has remained a consistent ally of Putin.
It comes after Dr Yuri Felshtinsky, author of the forthcoming book ‘Blowing up Ukraine: The Return of Russian Terror and the Threat of World War III’, warned Putin could make use of Belarusian territory to start a full-on nuclear war with the West.
The author told Express.co.uk: “Russia does not have weapons to win the war through conventional methods.
“So what he will do and trust me, that’s what he will do – although this is so terrible that people probably would refuse to believe it and refuse to see this way – he will move nuclear weapons to Belarus if he is allowed to do this.
“And I’m sure that there are ways to prevent him from doing this.
“But if he is allowed to move nuclear weapons to Belarus, they will fire from Belarus and then retaliation will be against Belarus.
“And it’s, by the way, very questionable to me if you could retaliate against Belarus with nuclear weapons, because it’s a small state deep into Europe, and radiation probably will spread beyond the borders of Belarus.
“So you probably would not retaliate against Belarus with nuclear weapons.
“And then Putin will call all the European leaders and tell them, look, so you see what we are capable of doing.
“Do you want to continue this? Do you want us to fire next level of nuclear weapons?”
