Summery conditions are expected to sweep across the UK next weekend, with highs of 22C forecast in the south east of England on Sunday, May 8. Other parts of the country are also expected to bask in the sunshine, with an average of 20C expected across England and Wales.
Temperature charts from WXCharts show London and parts of East Anglia enjoying the best of the weather, with highs of 22C by 6pm on Sunday.
The North East will see the mercury rise to 21C, while parts of the Midlands, the South West and Wales are expected to reach 20C.
Northern Ireland and parts of Southern Scotland can expect milder temperatures of up to 15C, while the rest of Scotland looks set to miss the warm spell.
Netweather’s temperature chart also shows the east of England turn a dark orange as the hot weather moves in.
The forecasters confirmed WXCharts’ prediction and said, at 6pm on Sunday, 22C is forecast in the capital as well as parts of East Anglia.
The warm weather looks set to continue through Monday, with 21C forecast in Northern England, notably, Liverpool and Leeds, according to WXCharts.
The Midlands and parts of the South East can expect the mercury to rise to 20C.
Netweather charts show 22C is also expected at 6pm on Monday in parts of the North East and central Scotland.
Parts of Northern Scotland will also bask in the warm conditions, with highs of 20C forecast.

Tuesday is set to stay fairly warm, with highs of 19C forecast in the capital.
But the rest of the UK will see the temperature dip slightly to the mid-to-low teens.
As the week progresses the mercury starts to tail off, back to the milder conditions that characterised the end of April.
Netweather forecasts expect the period between Thursday, May 6 to Wednesday, May 12 to be more settled and warm.

They did warn thundery outbreaks were possible.
Netweather said: “A finer, warmer perhaps very warm interval may occur, mostly over England and Wales.
“A thundery breakdown is possible, before temperatures return to normal with showers, particularly in the North West.
“A milder or warmer period, but somewhat unsettled.”
A temperature anomaly chart by WXCharts shows England and Wales turn a deep red on May 9.
This indicates temperatures far higher than normally expected at this time of year.
The chart shows that most of England and Wales will be between 4C and 6C hotter than normal.
But some parts of the north-east will be 8C hotter than average.
