UK weather forecast – Snow and -6C icy blast to hit before temperatures soar to 15C this weekend – The Sun

BRITS are to face freezing weather and snow as temperatures plunge below zero with lows of about -6C later this week.

But temperatures will soar back up to 15C this weekend for most of the UK.


Regions in northern parts of the UK are to expect some frost and wintery weather tonight and tomorrow morning.

Temperatures will struggle to hit 9C with downpours, sleet and snow on higher ground expected throughout the week.

The rest of England and Wales will see a rise to about 15C or 16 C tomorrow after today marked

Met Office forecaster Mr Burkill said that those in Scotland and Northern Ireland will wake up to frost on the roads tomorrow after temperatures will plunge below zero overnight.

He said: "Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland, and also northern Wales, will on Thursday night see temperatures drop quite a bit below freezing – hitting lows of about -6C before Friday morning.”

The UK is finally due some calm weather this weekend after months of floods and rain

After a few days of damp and drizzle this Mothering Sunday weekend "will be the calmest of the year".

The week to come will be pretty mild all round and mostly cloudy, with erratic rain heading south from Wednesday morning and petering out by Friday.

We are likely to see a centimetre of rain at most in the midlands tomorrow and a little light drizzle everywhere else.
