TWO people died after a car and a train collided on Thanksgiving.

Both of the victims were in the car, Miami County, Kansas Captain Matthew Kelly told The Sun.

Luckily, no one inside the train was injured, Kelly said.

The devastating crash happened around 6:30 p.m., and it's too early to tell what happened.

"It doesn't appear to be a malfunction of the train or the crossing, but it's preliminary information," the Miami County Sheriff's captain said.
