Two cops shot inside Walmart after mystery gunman opened fire before being gunned down – The Sun

TWO police officers were reportedly shot this morning in Arkansas in what authorities said was an “active shooter” situation.

The officers, with the Forrest City Police Department, were injured in a local Walmart store, according to WREG-TV.

The suspect was shot dead inside the store.

Officers were called to the store this morning when the suspect threatened to blow up Walmart, the news outlet reported.

The suspect was approached by officers when the suspect apparently opened fire, hitting two cops.

A witness who was inside the store said she heard 12 gunshots.

One officer was airlifted to a nearby medical center and the other was transported to a local hospital.

The store remains on lockdown and Arkansas State Police is investigating, WMC-TV reported.

Earlier today, a police officer was shot in Salt Lake City, Utah after responding to a domestic dispute.

A woman had called police, and when they arrived on scene, a suspect began firing a weapon at cops, KUTV reported.

The officer was hospitalized in stable condition. He’s expected to survive.
