STARTING cloudy and wet across southern England and south Wales with outbreaks of rain for much of the day.

Elsewhere across the UK, expect it to remain dry with sunny spells but breezier and cool.

UK outlook for Tuesday April 9 to Friday April 12

Following on from the rain in the south and drier spells elsewhere, expect rain to clear from southern England on Wednesday.

Mainly dry for the rest of the week, with the best of the sunshine being expected in western areas.

Generally remaining rather cold, with the risk of overnight frosts.

UK outlook for Saturday April 13 to Tuesday May 7

The weekend will be largely fine and dry with sunny spells for many. Perhaps a few scattered showers are possible in the east.

Generally rather cold, with widespread overnight frost. Temperatures perhaps closer to normal in sheltered and sunnier western parts.

Next week expected to become more changeable across the south and southwest with some spells of rain. Drier in the north and north west.

Temperatures should start to recover, with warm conditions likely at times, especially in the south and west.

Moving into May, there’s a likelihood of warmer and drier than average weather moving in.
