Trump claims ‘THE BIG LIE!’ is 2020 election — not his false claims it was stolen

Let it go, sir. Let it go.

Ex-President Trump Monday claimed the real “BIG LIE” is the results of the 2020 presidential election, not his own false claims that he actually beat President Biden.

“The Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020 will be, from this day forth, known as THE BIG LIE!” Trump said in an email message to supporters.

Trump is trying to flip the script on Democrats and #NeverTrump conservatives, who have branded his efforts to discredit the election results as a “big lie” designed to undermine popular trust in American elections.

Elections experts and voting officials from both parties say the 2020 election was the most free, fair and secure in U.S. history, with a record-shattering turnout.

Dozens of judges rejected lawsuits filed by Trump’s legal team alleging laughable conspiracy theories about rigged voting machines and stuffed ballot boxes in battleground states like Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

Republicans, even some who broke with his claims the election was stolen, are nevertheless using Trump’s unfounded claims to justify new restrictions on voting that are designed to tamp down turnout among Black voters and other Democratic-leaning constituencies.

Trump’s behavior led to his impeachment, although the GOP-run Senate let him off the hook by failing to convict him, which could have barred him from running for office again.

He was also banned from Twitter and Facebook, limiting his ability to reach his loyal #MAGA base of tens of millions.

A Facebook committee is reviewing the social media network’s ban of Trump and will announce its findings Wednesday. Twitter says the ban is for life.
