Tributes pour in for 'one in a million' Chantelle Kirk after mum, 27, found dead in Edinburgh flat

TRIBUTES have flooded in for a "one in a million" mum, who died in Edinburgh yesterday.

A 27-year-old woman was found in a flat in Saughton Mains Park yesterday afternoon.

She has been named locally as Chantelle Kirk, and loved ones have flocked to social media to share pictures and memories of their dear friend.

Close pal Lyndsey Morris posted a snap of her with Chantelle, saying her "heart is aching" following the tragic news.

She wrote: "Fly high my girl, life won't be the same without you and your bantz and giggles.


"Love you more than you'll ever know. See you on the other side or in another life. I love you that much my heart is aching."

Chantelle's cousin, James Mark, posted a selfie taken with her, adding: "Can’t describe how broken I am. I’ll always love you cuz."

Nikki Leith said: "Thinking of your family and daughter at such a heartbreaking time. Gone but never forgotten.

"Heaven has gained a legend of an angel, that's for sure."

Pagan Scott said: "This world is so cruel! RIP Chantelle Kirk, so glad I got to speak to you last week. Fly high, girl."

Stephanie Anderson shared photos and videos of her and Chantelle in happier times, saying: "Can't believe it, I only just saw you. Going to miss you."

 

Underneath her post, Simone Wilson wrote: "She was one in a million."

Sarah Amy Walker also commented on the post, adding: "I'm so broken, she will be missed so much."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers in Edinburgh received a report around 2.10pm on Wednesday, March 17, of the sudden death of a 27-year-old woman at a property in Saughton Mains Park, Edinburgh.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
