Trials, grand jury proceedings in Colorado’s federal court canceled through May 29

Trials in Colorado’s federal court are canceled through May 29 as the court remains closed to the general public due to the coronavirus.

The decision Tuesday by Chief U.S. District Judge Philip Brimmer extended the ban of trials from a previous order. The order also suspended all grand jury proceedings and naturalization ceremonies until May 29.

Trials and ceremonies will be rescheduled. The Denver court building is only open to those who have official business there.

The decision follows an order last week that suspended all jury trials in Colorado’s district and county courts through June 1.
