A father has revealed the heartbreaking final pictures taken of his five-year-old son before he drowned in a Cornwall holiday park pool.

Robin Caliskan died at the Atlantic Reach holiday park in Newquay on the afternoon of July 31 after emergency services received frantic calls that he was in trouble in the water.

His parents, Cemal and Ferzane Caliskan, both aged 35, paid tribute to their ‘cute and clever’ little boy and said they are ‘grateful for all the messages’ they have received since their son’s death was reported.

The family had been at the Newquay holiday resort for around an hour before the tragic incident. Mr Caliskan has now shared two photographs of Robin on the day he died.

One of the pictures shows Robin posing alongside his six-month-old baby brother Renas in the swimming pool while another is of him in the tent they pitched before he went swimming.

One said: ‘Rip Robin fly high baby boy. Caleb will miss you very much.’

Another added: ‘He was an angel boy. Heartbreaking. I will always remember of him.’

A third said: ‘From a parent to another. I am so sorry this has happened. My deepest thoughts are with you all at this time.’

‘Atlantic Reach is committed to supporting our guests and community, as well as our team that provided immediate assistance. As such we respectfully ask that all those affected are given time and space at this distressing time.’
