Toddler injured and man 'seriously' hurt after being struck by train | The Sun
A MAN and a toddler have been rushed to hospital after being struck by a train in Glasgow.
Emergency crews raced to Garrowhill station just before 7.30pm yesterday following reports of two casualties on the tracks.
British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed an adult man and a two-year-old child were taken to hospital where they both remain.
The child’s injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening, and the man remains in a serious condition.
We told yesterday how ambulance crews boarded the train and checked on the passengers.
An onlooker said: "They told us someone had gone in front of the train.

"There was a lot of police on the platform and firefighters looking under the carriages.
"An ambulance crew came on the train and started checking on people."
A statement from BTP added: "Detectives are investigating the full circumstances of the incident and believe there were a number of people on the platform at the time who may have witnessed what happened.
"Anyone who witnessed what happened and hasn’t already spoken to police is urged to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 with reference 564 of 2 July."
