A total of 10 children have been rushed to hospital after a 'toxic gas' leaked at a new £655,000 playground.
Emergency services have cordoned off a kids park in the city of Mannheim, southwest Germany after several youngsters complained of suffering nasty mucous-related symptoms.
A call was made to rescue workers at around 11am local time on Friday with 10 of the 12 affected being taken from Neumarkt to hospital for urgent medical attention.

The fire brigade is understood to be tackling the gas leak while police shield off the area, which Mannheim24 reports is worryingly only a few yards from the city's Neckar School.
A cool £655,000 was pumped into transforming the playground which was re-opened towards the end of last year.
Mayor Prof. Dr. Diana Pretzel said at its December unveiling: “The playground is suitable for all ages. And what makes me particularly happy is that it also offers fun for children in wheelchairs.”
The playground has a 5/5 rating on Google reviews with parents describing it as one of the best in the city.
A fan of the re-development has since commented: "One of the best playgrounds in Mannheim since the complete redesign. It turned out great and there are offers for all ages."

MWSP Managing Director Achim Judt who was behind the recent changes in 2021 said: "The completion of the playground is an important building block to strengthen the quality of the central square in the district and another important milestone in local urban renewal when it comes to informal spaces for children and young people."
