Teenage girl raped by stranger who approached her in street as police release e-fit of suspect | The Sun

POLICE are urgently trying to trace a man after a teenage girl was raped in Cornwall.

The youngster was alone when she was approached in the street by the stranger in the St Columb Minor area of Newquay last year.

The attack is said to have happened between 6pm and 7.30pm near Penwartha Close and Stafford Close on November 27.

Cops today issued an e-fit image of a man they would like to speak to.

Detective Constable Nicola Curnow, from the Devon and Cornwall Police Major Crime Investigation Team, said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who can help us to identify this person.

"The girl was walking alone when she was approached by an unknown man who assaulted her.

"She is being supported by family and specially trained officers."
