A café called Tea’s Me has seen an unexpected surge in bookings thanks to jealous wives and girlfriends checking their partners’ bank statements.

The restaurant in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, has raised eyebrows with its risqué name.

And men who frequent the café have been subjected to interrogations from partners suspicious of them spending money on X-rated services, the owner says.

It has also been bombarded with calls from women wanting to know what Tea’s Me offers its customers. 

Tea’s Me is now enjoying popularity, especially on Saturday mornings when men take their partners to prove the establishment exists.

The owners are now thinking of changing the name to something even naughtier to attract even more diners.

One of the owners said: ‘Our name comes up as Teas Me on debit cards, so men have had to bring in their partners to prove to them we are a café.

The owners said the roadside café has become so busy they are struggling for staff

‘We came up with the name after sitting down and having a think. We were going to go for ‘Baps to the Future’.

‘We’ve had people in who said their partner thought they had been on a dodgy website or something.’
