Teacher stabbed to death by ISIS terrorist who left three others injured

A teacher was stabbed to death at school by an ISIS terrorist who went on to injure three others.

Police say they have an audio recording from the suspect's phone which sees the alleged attacker declare his allegiance to the Islamic State. He was also heard declaring his "hatred for France, for the French, for democracy".

Mohamed Mogouchkov, 20, is said to be a former student at the Gambetta high school in the northern town of Arras, Artois. One teacher on the school premises was fatally stabbed in the neck.

Prosecutor Jean-François Ricard claims the alleged attacker recorded his 30-second video in front of a war memorial. Said video saw the attacker "repeatedly" attack the values of France.

The unnamed individual, recording his audio message in Arabic, had "repeatedly attacked, in his own words, the values of the French. He expressed some particularly threatening views," according to prosecutor Ricard.

He also expressed support for Muslims in Iraq, Asia and Palestinian territories although it is not believed this was a direct link between the school attack and the recent slate of bombings carried out by Hamas terrorists.

Formal terrorism charges are now levelled at the suspect as well as two of the alleged attacker's family members. The 16-year-old brother of the alleged murderer is believed to have shown "a certain amount of support" for the assault.

Witnesses to the killing and subsequent terror attack claim he yelled "Allahu Akbar" and "God is greatest". President Emmanuel Macron condemned the "barbarity of Islamist terrorism" as police claim they averted another attempted attack, BBC reported.

The French language teacher killed in the attack is yet to be formally identified, though a fellow teacher and security guard were also injured in the attack carried out by the 20-year-old Russian national.

An investigation into the attack was opened by the anti-terror prosecutor's office which is set to look into charges of "murder in connection with a terrorist enterprise" and "attempted murder in connection with a terrorist enterprise".
