Prince Harry and Meghan Markle run the risk of pushing the Royal Family to 'breaking point' if they go ahead with another explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, a royal expert has warned.

The estranged royal couple are currently thought to be discussing a 'top-up' interview with the American star after their TV appearance at the beginning of the year caused a huge stir on both sides of the Atlantic.

However, the Sussexes have yet to give any indication that they plan to sit down with the TV host again.

One controversial accusation made by Meghan in the chat claimed that an unnamed member of the Royal Family had made racially insensitive comments about the possible colour of Archie's skin.

She also said in January that the Palace had 'broken protocol' by not offering her son a title, although this was later disputed by experts.

The Sussexes never named the royal they allege made the remark but later is said to have reported it was not the Queen nor the late Prince Philip.

Royal biographer Duncan Larcombe – author of 'Prince Harry: The Inside Story' – told Closer magazine: “I really wouldn’t be surprised if they’re planning another Oprah interview.

"Harry and Meghan have caused chaos and I suspect there’s no stopping them. I can totally see more of these high-profile, Hollywood-style interviews with A-list TV hosts happening."

"Especially if there’s lots of money being offered for it. Harry will need promotion for his memoir, due to be released next autumn, too. Another Oprah interview, if it’s anything like the last, would surely push the royals to breaking point.”

Meanwhile, a new BBC documentary slammed by the Royal Family suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle knew "within days" that life as working royals in the UK would not work out for them.

In the first episode of The Princes and the Press, which aired on BBC 2 on Monday (November 22), presenter Amol Rajan claims issues arose shortly after the Sussexes were married in 2018.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly allowed ITV to show their Christmas carol concert instead of the BBC, after a row broke out over them not being given full right of reply to claims made in the show.
