Superstar DJ Goldie calls 4-star hotel staff ‘idiots’ in scathing Facebook video
A superstar DJ has slammed at a hotel for its poor service despite it being listed as top 100 best British hotels.
Goldie, whose real name is Clifford Joseph Price, warned people to "stay very clear" from the Telegraph Hotel in a critic video he posted on Facebook.
The musician explained he stayed at the hotel after performing a DJ set at HMV Empire in the city, according to Coventry Live.
In the video he shared online, he stands outside the four-and-a-half star hotel and tells the owners "you need to get your eggs checked in the basket".
He puts on a stick-on moustache and a cap, saying: "The level of idiocy in this establishment is quite fathoming me.
"It's like 'Wow!' Seriously! Idiots, as in village idiots.
"I've frequented many hotels around the globe for many, many years and I've never experienced anything like it – I really haven't."
Goldie then pokes fun at his experience and says the "level of staffing is incredible".
"It's absolutely like one of the worst experiences Higgsy has ever had," he adds.

"So if you're in Coventry, I would stay very clear, in my humble opinion. Remember, only in my humble opinion.
"You may want to stay at a lesser four-starred establishment.
"But, ah, be very very careful."
The Telegraph Hotel is listed as one of the Top 100 British hotels by Sunday Times, just five months after opening.
A spokesperson for the Telegraph Hotel, Coventry, said: "We are aware of the video posted online.
"The Telegraph Hotel prides itself on the quality of service it provides to all customers, but we also have guidelines and protocols that we have to follow for all guests.
"Obviously we are disappointed at any negative feedback, but have spoken to staff on duty at the time and are fully confident they conducted themselves in a fully professional manner."
