Streatham attack: LIVE news as police shoot terrorist dead in London after stabbings – latest updates – The Sun

POLICE have shot a man dead in Streatham, south London.

At least two people have been injured during the terror-related incident.

The man shot dead by police was wearing a “fake suicide” vest.

    Claire Waxman, Victim's Commissioner for London, has urged anyone affected by today's incident to contact the Victim Supportline.

  • FORENSICS ARRIVE

    Forensic officers have arrived at Streatham High Road to help police in their investigations.

  • AMBULANCE CALL

    The London Ambulance Service have said they were called at 1:58pm about an incident on Streatham High Road.

    Graham Norton, London Ambulance Service Strategic Commander, said they are “treating a number of patients”.

  • 'SOMEBODY ON POLICE OR MI5 RADAR'

    National security analyst Margaret Gilmore, speaking to Sky News, said the attacker was likely known by security services.

    She said: “There were armed police officers. There were also, it appears, undercover, non-uniformed police officers around, and they seemed to know exactly who they were looking for.

    “I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we find that he was linked to ISIS. He will be somebody who has been open the radar of the police or MI5.”

  • ATTACKER KILLED

    Police have confirmed that they shot the attacker at the scene.

    Witnesses said they appeared to be wearing a suicide vest.
