A weightlifter's wrist was heard snapping while she filmed herself in the gym.

CrossFit trainer Taylor Rose Neuman, from South Dakota, US, was filming herself weightlifting around the end of August.

In the clip, the athletic woman bends to lift the heavy bar before lifting it and resting it on her shoulders.

But, as the woman attempts to push it up further a loud snap can be heard.

Taylor falls to the ground and immediately grabs her wrist.

And though a brutal accident, the woman surprisingly remains fairly calm.

She says: "Oh my God, I've broken my arm.

"I need to go to the hospital."

Taylor walks off-camera while still grasping at her wrist.

She later uploaded the clip to Instagram, captioning it: "This past Thursday I ended up hitting two big PR’s, but then I tried to go heavier for my clean and jerk and ended up breaking my arm pretty bad.

"Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery!"

But only days ago popular Instagram page GymFailDoctor uploaded the brutal footage.

It has since racked up thousands of views.

One person said: "That sucks. I hope she has a fast recovery!"

A second said: "Wow, that's not good."

Others were quick to ask why she wasn't wearing the necessary wrist straps.
