Snowflakes bid to replace Winston Churchill statue with giant robot
World War 2 leader Winston Churchill is widely regarded as a British hero.
The Statue of Winston Churchill stands proudly in Parliament Square.
The wartime prime minister even remarked in the 1950s “this is where my statue will go“.
But a group of snowflakes want to tear the monument down and replace it with a giant Japanese robot.
“That sounds rad”

Hussein Kesvani has started a petition to replace the statue of Winston Churchill in Parliament Square with an Evangelion.
An evangelion is a fictional robot in Japanese anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Mr Kesvani wrote: “All I’m saying is no Evangelion ever caused a famine or took credit for anyone else’s work.
“Evangelion are also very cool and sleek, with a more aspirational body figure than Winston Churchill.
“In a post-Brexit Britain, where we journey to new shores as an independent nation we need new heroes. We need to get into the damn robot.
“I am willing to compromise, by ensuring we will also place a giant poppy on the Evangelion if it is created.”
Remarkably, 150 people have signed the petition, leaving Mr Kesvani needing only 50 more signatures.
One commented: “I’m signing because evangelion has far more importance to modern Britain than the man who starved thousands in Bengal.
Another added: “That sounds rad.”
While one wrote: “Evangelion is dope and caused 0 deaths.”
Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill died in 1965, aged 90.
His statue was then built in 1973 and unveiled by his widow, Baroness Clementine Spencer-Churchill.
