The vile messages a sick predator sent via Snapchat to school girls have been exposed.

Khalil John Nohra, an ex-employee at a prestigious school groomed six girls as young as 13 years old over 18 months. The 29-year-old who worked at Parramatta Tara Anglican School for Girls in Sydney used fake names and pretended to be 19 to ‘befriend’ his first victim.

Using Snapchat he then offered girls money for sexual acts – including oral sex, penetrative sex, as well as alcohol and vapes. He also used the platform to ask for nude photos.

On top of sending videos of himself engaging in sex acts with other women. According to reports by News.com.au Nohra had penetrative sex five times with the child.

During one of their 18 meet-ups outside of school he handed her a bottle of Midori and Alize at McDonald’s and said: “The only way I can justify this is by giving you these things”.

During another encounter, she met him in the middle of the night to perform oral sex on him in exchange for a litre of vodka, two packs of alcoholic drinks, and some vapes. The victim told the court he said he wanted to marry her once she turned 18.

He was caught out after accusing her of cheating on him over Snapchat, causing her to block him. Nohra then messaged her brother on the platform saying: “I just wanted to let you know your sister has snuck out to go fu*k, I thought you’d want to know this LOL”.

After being confronted by her brother, the victim admitted he had been harassing her. The brother reported it to the police, who then launched an investigation.

In her powerful victim impact statement read in court by a support person, the girl detailed how her “so-called best friend” introduced her to Nohra at the vulnerable age of 13.

She said: “He was sweet at first, but the first alarm bell was he always refused to show his face, but he asked me to send photos — the kinds of photos schools make presentations about to stop kids from ruining their lives. He begged me to meet up, offering money. He knew where I went to school and where I lived, so I did it”.

The victim wrote he ruined her innocence and left her with trauma. Claiming she will never be the same again.

Another victim wrote that she misses her innocence. “I feel like everyone will do bad things to me,” her statement read.

Judge Stephen Hanley SC said he had shown some remorse in his apology letter, but his behaviour was “abhorrent to the community”.

“It’s predatory (and) extremely dangerous to the mental health of the victims,” Judge Hanley said.

“I acknowledge their harm — physical and mental — and embarrassment, as the victim impact statements show, and … the enormous impact this behaviour can have”.

Nohra was sentenced to eight years and six months in prison, backdated to 16 May 2022, with a six-year non-parole period.

He will be eligible for parole on May 15, 2028.
