Sick moment cold-blooded Russians shoot dead surrendering Ukrainian soldiers
Ukraine launches drone attack on Russian landing ships in Crimea
This is the horrifying moment Russian soldiers allegedly shoot dead surrendering Ukrainian troops at point blank range.
Videos posted on X, formerly Twitter, reportedly shows Russian soldiers surrounding a Ukrainian trench in the Donetsk region as a soldier emerges from the ground.
The soldier, who has not been identified, has his hands on his head and then proceeds to lie face down in the dirt.
Another Ukrainian troop then emerges from the same spot when a Russian serviceman opens fire on him.
The first soldier attempts to get to his feet before he too is shot at close range.

The footage has been independently verified by the AFP news agency and Kyiv has said it is investigating the incident, which would be a war crime if the Ukrainian soldiers were indeed surrendering.
The Kremlin has denied the allegations, according to a report by the Mail Online.
“The video shows a group in Russian uniforms shooting, at point-blank range, two unarmed servicemen in the uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who were surrendering,” the Ukrainian General Prosecutor’s office said in a Telegram update on Monday.
It continues: “The killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a serious international crime.”
The update also said that the alleged slaying took place in the Pokrovsk district, which includes Avdiivka and surrounding areas, where intense fighting has taken place in recent weeks.

The Ukrainian army’s strategic communications centre said on Saturday it possessed “confirmed information” that the video showed the “execution” by Russian forces of “unarmed soldiers”.
“It’s clear from the video that the Ukrainian servicemen are taking the necessary steps that show they are surrendering,” Ukraine’s human rights chief, Dmytro Lubinets, said after the footage first emerged over the weekend.
Moscow has repeatedly been accused of human rights and war violations since it launched its brutal invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, said earlier this year that his office had documented numerous violations of international humanitarian law against prisoners of war.
