SHOCK VID: Tribe member drags rival into jungle ‘to be killed’ in front of Brit filmmaker

Livia Simoka is spending five months living with the Mbenejili tribe in Bonguindo, in the Congo, as part of Channel 4 documentary Extreme Tribe: The Last Pygmies.

But in last night’s episode, she was given a terrifying glimpse into the brutal reality of living in a tribal society.

The Mbenejili have a fierce rivalry with rival village Bantu, who claim that they “own” Mbenejili families and compare the people to animals who live in dirty squalor.

In a clip from the episode, two members of the Bantu – Prince and Loris – arrive in Mbenejili and attack one of the tribesmen, Mondonga.

“I swear it, he must be killed”

“I swear it, he must be killed,” Prince yells.

“I will stab him.”

The Mbenejili’s try to intervene and beg him to stop attacking Mondonga.

But Prince doesn’t stop, saying: “Mondonga’s son owes my brother-in-law, he should know I’m the bad man.”

He then starts dragging the man into the forest before throwing a punch at his face.

A horrifying screech rips through the air as the pair disappear into the jungle.

Livia and her film crew follow the party and discover a Mbenejili tribe member has managed to stop the fight.

She catches up with a bloodied Mondonga, who says: “I have to go into the village but they will kill me.”

To her horror, the documentary maker discovers Prince and Loris have also returned to the village.

“That surely is a recipe for disaster,” she exclaims.

Livia decides to try and settle things down and tells Prince: “Stay back a minute, just calm down.

“Let’s just calm down because things will get worse if you go back now, so just f***ing chill out.”

Prince then tells her the bizarre reason why he attacked Mondonga.

“Loris lent Mondonga’s son three packs of marijuana and five cigarettes,” he said.

“So I kept Mondonga’s head torch, Mendjele don’t give back easily.

“If he owes you one hundred, you have to wait many years for it to be paid back.

“That is the reason why we came to take him with us.”

A concerned Mondonga later revealed how the men had “tried to shoot me with a gun”.

“When I went to collect my head torch he said he wasn’t going to give it to me.

He said be careful or I will kill you. He shot at me. I’m going to report it.

The problem should be known. I got hurt, my blood has been shed.

Extreme Tribe: The Last Pygmies is available to watch on 4OD now.
