Transport for London’s official Twitter account posted the side-splitting clip yesterday.

The video shows a line of traffic queuing to enter the Blackwall Tunnel on the A102 in east London.

But, slap-bang in the middle of the footage stands a seagull.

The bird casually looks around at his surroundings – completely oblivious to where it is perching.

TfL tweeted the clip with the caption: “Due to popular demand, a quick update from our reporter just north of the Blackwall Tunnel.”

And – if the video wasn’t funny enough – the comments were filled with hilarious puns.

“I seagull what you did there,” one wrote.

Another added: “Wait, that’s no reporter, just how gullible do you think we are?”

“That bird didn’t really seem to know what it was doing,” a third said.

“It seemed to be winging it.”

And a fourth comic said: “Looks like they have a bird’s eye view of things.”

It comes after a man killed a seagull after it tried to pinch his chips at the beach.
