School in south London is evacuated after bomb threat

A secondary school in south London was evacuated earlier today due to a bomb threat.
Police were called to St Saviour’s & St Olave’s School – an all girls school – on New Kent Road, Elephant and Castle at 1.04pm today.
The incident was resolved by 3.20pm after police found nothing of concern, according to Southwark News.
A statement released by the school said pupils were ‘safely evacuated’ as crowds of children were seen leaving the premises.
Officers blocked roads around the school including by Black Horse Court and by the New Kent Road Esso petrol station.

Police ordered people not to re-enter the school buildings and students were dismissed on time.
