A young woman has spoken out after a creep offered her £100 for sex as he followed her home from work – leaving her terrified.

Reanna Burns had just finished her shift as a nightclub VIP hostess when a man stalked her movements in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The masters student, 25, was left shaken and took to social media to highlight the harassment.

Reanna revealed that this type of pestering happens to her “all the time” when simply walking home from work.

She told the Daily Star: “It is sad that pretty much every woman can relate to this.

“This made me feel degraded and worthless. Whenever someone says something like that it is creating an idea that you are this sexual object and there for someone to use.

“It just makes me extremely sad that this is the reality.”

Reanna works part-time at a club on the Brighton seafront in Sussex and walks the 10 minutes home after every shift.

But she said this scary incident was a step too far and inspired her to post on social media.

Describing what happened, she said: “I left the club at around 2.30am and there’s always loads of drunk people about when I finish.

“A few guys stopped and asked for my number but I kept walking and then I got the vibe that someone was following.

“I kept looking back and when I turned onto a busy road this guy started making comments beckoning me like ‘Hello honey, gorgeous, come here’ and I stopped because it was just disgusting."

She continued: “He proceeded to come right up next to me and said ‘sex for £100’ and he carried on asking until I confronted him and he told me he was drunk and he was kidding and it was a joke.

“He could see I was recording so he rolled his eyes and walked off.

“After it happened I was scared to walk the rest of the journey.”

Reanna said the man was in his mid 30s and was dressed in dark clothing. She didn’t report it to the police because she feared nothing would be done.

However, her TikTok video has now been seen by more than 250,000 people.

But some responses left Reanna infuriated.

She explained: “There’s loads of amazing comments but I reckon 60 per cent of them are very degrading and are victim blaming.

“It is really hard to sit there and receive that.

“The whole weekend I have been conflicted and I’ve questioned myself on my behaviour which is just wrong.

“The comments that are really hurtful are the ones from other women saying dress more appropriately and that I shouldn’t be walking home so late at night.

“It feels worse coming from a woman.”

Reanna has spoken to her parents about her safety but she doesn’t want the actions of men to stop her from having the part-time job.

She now wants to raise awareness about the grim reality of the life of a woman who has to travel home from work late at night.
