RCMP officer stabbed in the upper leg in Lower Sackville
An RCMP officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in the upper leg in Lower Sackville, N.S., on Wednesday.
Officers went to Cobequid Community Health Centre at 10 a.m. to look for a man who was reportedly being harmful to himself and others.
Officers were able to locate the man in a vehicle at a nearby parking lot. When approached, police say the man got out of his vehicle and stabbed one of the officers in the upper leg.
A second officer deployed a stun gun and arrested the man, who was taken to the hospital.
The injured officer is being treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
